Our multidisciplinary team is made up of graduates and postgraduates in art expertise and appraisal, handwriting experts, museologists, conservator‑restorers, as well as specialists in numismatics, goldsmithing and gemology.

This structure makes Givoa the only fully specialized consulting firm in the region.

  • Gustavo Espinel - Certified appraiser in the Open Registry of Appraisers of Colombia. Expert in modern Colombian artists. Civil Engineer from the National University of Colombia, with a specialization in Urban Design.

  • Sara de Sousa e Andrade - Specialist in Art and Antiques Appraisal and Expert Reports, with international practice and over 25 years of experience. She served as director at Palácio do Correio Velho, where she appraised and catalogued diverse collections. She collaborates with museums, banks, and private collections. Member of the Society for the History of Collecting.

  • Raquel Villagrán - Art expert and appraiser, Santa Úrsula University. Museologist from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Court-appointed expert at TJRJ. PhD in Museology and Heritage – UNIRIO/MAST.

We also adopt as references the Authentication in Art Foundation, the International Conference Artwork Expertise (ICAE), the AAM Guide to Provenance Research (American Association of Museums) and the IFAR Journals (International Foundation for Art Research).
